I like the small town setting for mysteries, where everyone knows everyone else. Not so keen on unanswered questions holding over to the next in the series though – apart from anything else my memory doesn’t retain that level of detail in the months or even years between books!
I know what you mean, FictionFan! I prefer the main questions to be answered, too. It’s much easier on the memory. In this case, the small town setting really works well for the sort of story it is. If you try it, I hope you’ll enjoy it.
