Bookshops seem to have become a really popular setting for mysteries recently, though they also pop up frequently in vintage crime. Dangerous places, obviously!
You know, they really are popular, aren’t they, FictionFan? I’m not sure if that’s a ‘retro’ thing or something else. But it’s quite clear that they are dangerous! Hmm…. I wonder if I should stop browsing in them. Nah…. 😉
The bookshop setting is done well, I think, Tracy. I feel that this is one of those books that you’re eather going to really like or dislike. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
It really is a different sort of novel, Carol, and it’s got some unusual (and I meant that in a positive way) characters. The bookstore is an important part of the novel, too. If you do read it, I hope you’ll enjoy it.

I enjoyed this review, Margot. I had been on the fence about reading this novel, now I may give it a try. I do like a bookshop setting.

Margot, this sounds like an unusual and intriguing mystery novel. I do like the idea that it is set in a bookstore.
