I agree, FictionFan; I do like it when not-so-young sleuths get to be the ‘star.’ And I think Brady is honest about what it’s like to be an older person. Ward has a bit of a cloud on his past, but he’s not one of those demon-haunted drunk detectives – also refreshing! I think he is interesting as a character and we’ll see where he goes from here.
