It’s always fun to read a book set in a place you know, and I also enjoy reading books set in places I’ll never visit but know someone, usually through blogging, who lives there. It’s like paying a vicarious visit!
I know just what you mean, FictionFan. I like books set in places I know well, but it’s also fun to take a book-ish journey to a place where someone I know lives. I learn more about that person, if that makes sense.
