Crime Writer Margot Kinberg 
Margot, that was a great review. The story sounds very interesting, especially the setting of the gated community. I recently read Thursday Night Widows by Claudia Pineiro (which I first heard of at your blog), and it had a similar setting, although set in Argentina. I will have to look for a copy of this one.

You make an interesting comparison between Thursday Night Widows and Dirty Little Secrets There’s just something about those closed, even exclusive, communities that makes for an effective social setting for a story. I’ve only read a couple of Jo Spain’s books and enjoyed them both. She’s one of the (many) authors I’d like to follow up on. This one sounds good – I always like mysteries that take place in small communities with a limited suspect pool. And secrets are always fun!

She really does a solid job of depicting that small community feeling, FictionFan, at least in my opinion. And there are all sorts of secrets that come out as the plot goes along. If you do read this, I hope you’ll enjoy it. And trust me, you are far, far from the only one with a list of authors to follow up with…
