Sounds like it could be fun, though those ‘scars from the past’ sometimes irritate me if they get in the way too much. Not sure I’d want to go hunting killers while pregnant, though!
Oh, I know what you mean, FictionFan! I wouldn’t want to sleuth while pregnant, either, and in this case, she’s very far along. It’s interesting you mention the ‘scars from the past.’ Authors sometimes go so deeply into that rumination that it takes away from the plot. In my opinion, that didn’t happen here, but everyone’s different about that.
