Well, for once I don’t feel too tempted! It sounds like an interesting start to a series, but all that grief puts me off, plus the animal death. I think I’ve just lost my taste for the darkness of Scandi crime in recent years.
There is a lot of grief and sadness in the story, FictionFan. And you’re right; a lot of Scandi crime fiction has gotten very dark, and that’s not for everyone. I think you’re right that it’s an interesting start to the series, and the characters are solid. But no book’s for everyone, is it? So, at least your TBR is safe for now! 😉
