This is one of those series that always appeals to me and yet I never seem to fit it in. I always enjoy colonial settings so long as they’re done well, and of course traditional style mysteries are very much my kind of thing. Thanks for the push – I shall stick it on the wishlist and who knows? Maybe I’ll finally get to it!
I know what you mean, FictionFan, about series like this one. There are several out there that I know I’d like, but just haven’t got to yet. There’s only so much time in a day… At any rate, this is a solid example of a traditional style series, and the colonial setting is, I think, done well (understand, I’m no expert on colonial Sri Lanka). If you do get to it, I hope you’ll enjoy it.
