Well, I’ve managed to miss this series entirely somehow! Sounds very good and I like the idea of a small town setting rather than the usual Scottish beat of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Onto the wishlist it goes! 😀
Oh, I truly hope you’ll enjoy the series, FictionFan! I’m not Scottish, but the setting and people felt authentic to me. And although I didn’t make much of it in the post, I think Brassett strikes an effective balance in telling a realistic story (so, not ‘frothy’ or unlikely) while at the same time, not resorting to gore or explicitness. Oh, and it’s written in third person, past tense!
