This sounds interesting – I like the research project idea as a way to justify Pippa’s involvement in investigating the case. It’s often hard to see just what makes a book YA rather than… OA? This one seems as if it would work fine as a book for older adults to enjoy too.
I have to say, FictionFan, I liked the idea of a research project, too. It’s a refreshingly believable way for Pippa to look into the case. I didn’t go into it, but she knows the people involved, too. But the research project makes it work. You make an interesting point about what makes a book YA (or not). I’ve read adult-marketed books with younger protagonists, and vice versa, so I don’t think it’s necessarily that. That’s a fascinating question and I ought to do a post about it at some point. Thanks for the ‘food for thought.’ At any rate, I do think this book isn’t necessarily limited to the YA audience. It’s not for everyone, of course, but I think adults could enjoy it.

Thanks for another spotlight Margot. You haven’t tempted me this week, which is good in some respects!

Ha! I know the feeling, Col! Well, no book’s for everyone, and, hey, there’ll be other weeks…
