After checking last night I discovered that my town library has a large print version of this, not my first choice but needs must. I’ll be grabbing that as soon as I can get there, our car is off the road at the moment so it will be a few days.
Sorry to hear about your car, Cath. I hope it’ll be ready soon! It’s good to hear your local library has the book; when you get to it, I hope you’ll enjoy it.
Sounds interesting and well done – I like the idea of seeing New York through the eyes of new arrivals. However, dead narrators don’t appeal to me, I’m afraid, however skilfully done!
That aspect – seeing New York through the eyes of newcomers – is really interesting, FictionFan. But, yes, Alice’s voice is very clear in the novel. And that’s not for everyone!
