    1. I think you’d like it, FictionFan. I think Gillard is a well-drawn character. He’s got his flaws, but he’s not one of those demon-haunted sleuths who can’t connect and who drowns everything at the bottom of a bottle. It’s a solid mystery, too. And it’s told in… third person, past tense. Oh, and this is the first of the series.
