I loved this one too and am sorry that it was the only mystery novel that he wrote. I loved the humour in it and the affectionate references to the Holmes/Watson relationship!
It definitely pays homage to the Holmes/Watson relationships, FictionFan, and I think that adds to the story. There is wit aplenty, and it’s actually an interesting mystery, too. I would’ve loved to see him do more crime fiction, too. But then, parents everywhere might wonder about the author of those innocent Winnie the Pooh stories! 😉
I love this one, Margot – such a shame he didn’t write more in this genre!

Isn’t it a good ‘un, KBR? I wish he’d written more crime fiction, too!
