So, Before We End and Then Begin*

It’s so hard to believe that another year has gone by. It’s certainly passed quickly, hasn’t it? Thanks for taking the journey this year has been with me. Whether it was a great year for you, or one that you’d just as soon forget, I wish you all that is good for 2024. May it be a year of peace, prosperity, good health, and good memories.

Happy New Year! And hey! Let’s be careful out there.

*NOTE: The title of this post is a line from Billy Joel’s I’ve Loved These Days.

    1. Thanks, Bill. I hope 2024 is very good to you and your family. Hill Street Blues did have those twists, endings, and so on that could really be surprising. I was shocked more than once.

  1. Happy New Year! Best wishes for a happy, healthy and peaceful 2024 to you and yours, Margot. I look forward to reading and listening to your thoughts over the coming year. Hill Street Blues was a terrific series and your sign off brought memories of the squad room at the start of a shift! Jx

    1. Thank you so much for the kind words, Janet! Happy New Year to you and those you love, too, and I hope 2024 is very kind to you. I appreciate your kind words about the blog; it means a lot that you take the time to read it and re-post it. As for Hill Street Blues, it’s classic television as far as I’m concerned – a truly fine series. And I always did love those squad room scenes!

  2. Happy New Year to you and yours Margot, and lovely memory of Hill St Blues. We used to say that to each other in our house, we should do so again, it’s a nice watchword.
