This sounds great, Margot! I’m ashamed to admit I only became aware of the Harlem Renaissance a few years ago – my excuse is being Scottish 😉 – and it’s a period I’d like to know more about. Plus the mystery element sounds good too. One for the wishlist!
No worries, FictionFan. I didn’t know about the Clearances until I read Peter May, so there you are. You can’t learn everything in school. The Harlem Renaissance was a fascinating time, and I think Walker portrays it in an interesting way. If you read this one, I hope you’ll enjoy it.
