It is a fun book, FictionFan! And I think you’re right about cats. They would not mince words! Hera and Persephone make their opinions quite clear in the story.
Talking cats, dolphins and supervillain networks sounds like a fun ride! It isn’t my cup of tea, but it sounds like the author has just let his imagination run wild. Reminds me of the Despicable me series for some reason. I have a book recommendation for you if you like crime fiction meeting speculative fiction. It’s Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. Very intriguing stuff. I liked it because it’s more fantasy meeting crime and I’m a huge fantasy fan lol.
Thanks, OP, for the suggestion. I’ll have to check it out. It’s interesting, isn’t it, how one book will remind a person of a film or of another book; that’s happened to me, too. I have the idea Scalzi did really enjoy himself with this one.
Ha, sounds like fun! Not sure I’d ever want to hear what talking cats had to say – I imagine they’d be quite rude… 😉
