I Want to Know All About You*

One of the best things about working on an anthology is the group of talented, dedicated authors who share the burden. I’ve been so fortunate to work with a fantastic group of skilled authors on LAXtras: Los-Angeles-Style Crime Stories, and now’s your chance to get to know them a little.

Roselyn Teukolsky, who contributed a suspenseful story called Babysitters to the Stars, created an informative, interesting behind-the-scenes look at the different authors who contributed to the anthology, and you can read it right here. You’ll find out what inspired us, how the project came together, and mostly, how we all wanted to do something to help in the wake of the February, 2025 Los Angeles wildfires.

After you’ve read her excellent post, check out LAXtras for yourself. It’s a collection of 20 crime stories written by some very talented folks. There’s one from me in there, too. Best of all, royalties from the book will be donated to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund. So there you are, great reads and a great cause. What’s not to like?

Thanks to Roselyn for such a terrific post, and thanks to all of the authors for their hard work!

*NOTE: The title of this post is the title of a song by Paul Simon.

  1. I’m about three-quarters of the way through now and having a great time reading it! So much variety of styles, and I love the mix of serious and humorous stories. A talented group of writers indeed!
