Oh I know all about the will power (or is it ‘won’t power?’) that’s needed to keep the TBR just a bit under control, FictionFan! It is a solid mystery, and although it’s not at all a romp, it’s also not at all really dark or gritty. And I have to admit I think Archer places the reader effectively. If you do read it at some point, I hope you’ll enjoy.
