That’s what a lot of people think, FictionFan. And in some areas, it is – ‘Boston Brahmin’ is a thing. But it’s also a big city that’s been a hub for centuries, so yes, all sorts of people live there.
Novels with a strong sense of place are probably my favourite kind! And I don’t know much about Boston, particularly not in the 1970s, so this sounds interesting.
You know, I found that aspect of the book very interesting, Marina Sofia. Like you, I do love books with a strong sense of place. It’s not a perfect book, but the setting, both physical and social, is very clear.
