Southern Noir can be very effective, FictionFan, and certainly memorable! You’re right, too, that his work is well written and in that sense, compelling. Still, it is very dark indeed. But don’t feel too safe about your TBR – I’ll get you next time! 😉

I like the idea of Southern Noir and his books always sound well done, but way too dark for me. Happily my TBR is safe this week!
